I’m Registered, Now What?

The following is a guide on how to use LabDash as a Sponsor.

Step 1: Set Up Your LabDash Sponsor Account

Registering as a Sponsor in LabDash is easy. Simply create your account and follow steps to get in contact with one of our testing labs. Our labs will help you to get set up with testing, and will verify your account so you can begin.

Start getting familiar with the features available on your account. Reach out to us or to your partner lab directly with any questions using the Contact Us form.

Step 2: Work with a Lab to Create a Plan

After you set up your account, you will work with your partner lab to iron out the details of your testing program. They will help you to identify the type of testing you want to offer and the ideal shipment and pick-up schedule for your situation.

Step 3: Add Staff and Get Patients Registered

Once you’ve laid out your plan, make sure to add separate accounts for all your Staff members that will be using LabDash. Separate accounts are important for security and for HIPAA compliance. As the admin account holder, you have the ability to decide what features and notifications your staff members receive. You can also remove staff accounts from your organization at any time.

Next, you will need to instruct your patient population to register their own accounts in LabDash. Rest assured, their information will not be shared with you as a Sponsor in LabDash.

Step 4: Receive Test Kits and Collect Samples

To begin testing, the lab will release test kits to your account and have them delivered based on your planned strategy. Patients can collect the sample specimen on their own, and should follow instructions to apply any labels and information on their test tube.

Data collection in LabDash can be performed by any user connected to the test, but a Sponsor should obtain permission from a patient before entering collection data for a patient. To perform the data collection, the collector identifies who is being tested, scans or enters a barcode, answers a few screening questions, and provides a signature consent.

Step 5: Return Kits and Track Positivity

After your patient population connects their accounts with test barcodes, the collected test kits will be returned to the lab according to plan.

When the lab receives the Collected tests, they will scan them in, which will update their status to Received. The lab will process the tests and report results when available. At that moment, your patients will be instantly notified that their results are available and can log into their accounts to view the report. As a Sponsor you will be able to track the status of de-identified tests connected to your account, including positivity rates. Note: LabDash will only provide positivity rates to your account if the quantity of tested individuals is sufficiently high enough to de-identify individuals within the population (minimum 20).
