How do i sign up for labdash?

You can register your account HERE.

Once you register, check your email for an activation link. After your account has been activated, you can access your information any time by logging in.

Why should I use labdash?

LabDash allows you to fill out your information a single time and use it for every test you get. Electronic data transfer also means accuracy and privacy for your information.

All of your test data goes straight into your account to link your sample barcode to you directly. When logged in, you can see when the lab has received your test kit, and track its progress. As soon as the lab uploads your results, you get an email notification. Log into LabDash from anywhere for your results.

How can I be Tested?

There are three typical ways to be tested as a patient through LabDash: at a testing event, at the request of a healthcare provier, and at the request of an employer.

At a testing event, the test facilitators using LabDash will provide instructions for you to register. They will either guide you through the data collection, or assist by entering it themselves.

Your healthcare provider may also request a test for you. Talk with them directly about any questions you may have about testing.

Your employer may sign up for LabDash to sponsor employee testing as well. Sponsors are able to order tests directly from the lab to test and help protect their employees from a possible outbreak at work.

If you, your provider, or your employer want to use LabDash, contact a LabDash administrator using our Contact-Us form for more information.

Sponsors

What is a sponsor?

A Sponsor is a private or public entity that sponsors COVID-19 testing for groups of patients.

What are the benefits of using LabDash as a Sponsor?

Sponsors work directly with the lab to put together the testing plan that works best for their group. Some Sponsors may want to do one round of testing, and others may choose to repeat testing periodically.

Order tests directly from the lab and each batch is linked to your Sponsor account. Patients sign up for LabDash as well and self-administer the tests. There are no paper forms and results are delivered directly to the patients to maintain privacy.

Through your account, you can track how many tests you ordered, and how many have been collected, received by the lab, and had results uploaded. You can also see how many tests are positive as soon as results are uploaded by the lab, allowing a quick response as needed.

How do I start testing my group?

Sign up for a LabDash account as a Sponsor HERE. A LabDash administrator will be notified as soon as you register and will get in contact with you to plan your next steps.

Some things that will be discussed -- How many test kits do you need? Do you want to test periodically? Has your group had a confirmed or possible outbreak?

To get more information about testing, you can also send us a message using our Contact-Us form.

How do I collect the samples?

Before you distribute test kits to your group, they should all sign up for LabDash as patients. You will distribute test kits with barcode stickers. The sticker goes on the individual test tube vertically and the patient's initials need to be legibly written on a blank space on the tube.

The patient will enter their test data into their LabDash account, which connects them to their test barcode. Then each individual can physically collect their own sample. This reduces PPE, which is in short supply, and creates a safer environment for collection in your facility.

Patients will seal their samples into provided biohazard bags and return them to you to go back to the lab. The lab representative you work with will provide details on how kits will be delivered and returned.

What role does a provider play?

A Provider is an entity which may provide diagnostic testing to patients. Providers may be healthcare facilities, individual physicians, congregate living facilities that provide healthcare, student healthcare groups, health surveillance teams, or other public health services. A provider may facilitate testing individual patients or may use LabDash to facilitate larger testing events.

How can LabDash help providers?

Using LabDash as a provider allows you to manage and track all your patient accounts and tests. You can see when tests are collected and will be notified when results are uploaded as well. You can manage all patient data and download test records for entry into an EMR if needed. Sort, search, and configure reports to gain a better understanding of your patients through LabDash.

As a Provider, you have the option to create patient accounts directly under yours (no patient login), or have your patients create their own accounts. This allows for easier data entry and minimizes costly errors. When patients arrive for testing already signed-up, LabDash can help to reduce contact with patients during sample collection.
